Maths Reflection Wk 6 Term 4

As you can see i achieved my work for the right time for it to get handed in when i was doing the first three it was kinda easy for me but the second question was kinda hard for me to answer when i got the answer i then had to make up my own five questions similar to the questions.

Reading Reflection Term 4 2k17

WALT synthesise ideas

SC:

  • List prior knowledge
  • Read the text
  • List new knowledge
  • Combine prior knowledge and new information

On this reading task me and my group were doing a task on synthesizing about Iran we first had to do prior knowledge then new information and then synthesize, when we did it i found out if you don't pass your exams you'll do it for an year and people actually like to live there even though there is shooting around and wars.

Task 13
WALT work out practical problems using a rule
SC:
  • Identify the input number
  • Use the rule
  • Multiply the input number by the rule
  • Write the output number

On this task i didn't achieve to do the success criteria, i only got to do half of the task the rest was because i started on it late and as soon as i was gonna do the rest the bell rang and then i had to handed it in and carry on.

Reading Reflection Term 4 2k17

WALT answer questions about an article

SC:

  • Find and locate an article of interest
  • Read the text
  • Answer “recall” questions
  • Answer “thinking” questions

On this task i didn't achieve the success criteria because i forgot that there were other questions to be answered when reading finished i only had finished 4 questions i didn't know there were other questions but i forgot to answer them because as soon as reading finished i saw there were other questions but i didn't get to them, so in the end i didn't get to finish the task.

WALT understand and draw relationship diagrams
SC:
  • Identify the relationship between person and object
  • Draw relationship diagram using information given

On this task i had achieve the success criteria because it was so easy that i got through it when it was meant to be handed in when i was doing it me and my friend liked it because it was easy and nothing was difficult it was fun as well because i handed, it in time and Mr told us that we can mark it and i got all of it right 100%.

SRA
On SRA i had to the read the book and then after that i had to answer some questions after that i succeded my work and then after that i finished it, it was also a good story so there i got to succeed but i didn't a chance to get it handed it.

Maths Reflection Term 4 2k17

Task 4
WALT continue and describe shape patterns
SC:
  • Identify the next shape
  • Work out the sequence
  • Draw the next shape in sequence
  • Describe how each shape sequence is created
 
This lesson was a bit difficult for me because i didn't get how to do it so i worked it out with Fita and then after i got the hang with it but i didn't get to achieve the success criteria but i did identify the next shapes but i didn't describe how each shape sequence is created so i didn't get to finish it and that is all

Reading Reflection Term 4 2k17

WALT ask literal and inferential questions

SC:

  • Read the text
  • Identify key ideas you can ask questions about
  • Ask literal questions where the answer is easy to find
  • Ask inferential questions where the answer has to be read between the lines

On this lesson we had to read a book and during it we had to look for questions with were literal, literal is a question and the answer would say it Inferential means a question which is hard and doesn't say the answer with it. As you can see the example is on the top and then you'll understand Literal and Inferential Task.

WALT: Find fractions of a set.

On Wednesday we did fractions with Mr.Edwards and Karena on this lesson we had to answer a question(Example) I got a birthday cake for my 20th birthday, if i cut it into 4 equal pieces and each piece had an equal number of candles. How many candles were on each piece? My answer was 1/4 of 20 = 5 so the answer was 5 Candles on each cake piece and after that we had a game with fractions on the dice the point of the game is if i rolled the dice and it was a half then it will be like half of 8 = 4 so that means i'll move 4 spaces.

Reading Reflection Wk9 Term 3 2k17

WALT use a range of strategies to understand a text

SC:

  • Predict what the story is about by using headings/pictures
  • Ask questions about the text
  • Clarify anything you have read that you don’t understand
  • Summarise what the text was about

In reciprocal reading i was the visualizer and the book we read was Space Run this book was talking about how things in space have races and the sputnik was used to grab it and that is the part i read up to but to be honest it had a good beginning to start with.
 

AWS Measurement Task 15 Maths Reflection Wk9 2k17

Task 15
WALT find the perimeter of a shape
SC:

  • Identify the measurements of all sides of a shape
  • Add all the measurements 

This worksheet we had to do the perimeter with meters it was easy Me and Fita who worked out together the answer but 3 answers we got wrong because we did not read it properly after that we found out where we got wrong.

Reading Reflection Term 3 Wk 8

WALT comprehend adventure novels


SC:

  • Read the text
  • Activate knowledge about the text
  • Skim and scan for key information

This book, i do not know that much about but all i read up is to he goes fishing and then massive waves  going high and he gets  into it and the dog goes into save and he always tries to get closer to shore but he gets to tired so he just goes with the flow. 

Lesson with Mr.Edwards Wk8 Term 3 2k17

WALT divide numbers by 2 using partitioning
SC:
  • Use place value to split numbers
  • Divide the hundreds number by 2
  • Divide the tens number by 2
  • Divide the ones number by 2
  • Add all sums from division.

This lesson is the same as last time but this one is subtracting it was the same because we had to do the first number like the example on top but we did big numbers my favorite part was when Fita had to have a competition it was too hard but he got through it and bate the people who our teacher asked to have a battle with him.

Market Day 2017


This Picture was on Market Day as you can see we had the prizes so if you throw a dart at the balloon and if it popped it will come with the paper and on that paper it will say the prize. But most of it it had nothing.

Lesson with Karena Wk7 Term 3


In this lesson with Karena we had to split the numbers, Example: 70+68= we had to do 70+60=130
130+8=138 so the answer is 138. I achieved how to do the proper way to get the right answers right i also got taught properly about partition.

  • Know the difference between different measurements
I achieved the success criteria by Identifying objects that can be measured best in metres. I also achieved to know the difference between different measurements. Also completing the 2 Tasks in the amount of days it was supposed to be handed in.

Week 4 T3 Reflection Reading

WALT improve our punctuation and grammar skills

SC:
  • Identify the part of speech
  • Use all clues available to make the most informed answer
  • Activate prior knowledge about how parts of speech work

I achieved the SC and the thing i struggled on was my pronouns but i got help from my friends
and i answered all of it with the right answer the thing i achieved the most of identifying the part of the speech

Maths Week 4 Term 3 Reflection



On Thursday we had a lesson with Karina she told us how to find a fraction of a set. I learnt to times the denominator to get the answer. We were good at halving numbers. Karina gave questions that were kind of difficult but i managed to get help and finish the Task.

Maths Week 3

WALT: understand geometry terms involving directions. 
  • Identify left and right
  • Identify clockwise and anticlockwise
  • Identify north, south, east and west
  • Identify 1⁄4 turn, 1⁄2 turn & 3⁄4 turn

I achieved the success criteria  by answering 1/2 turn in my class and 1/4 anticlockwise
i also had to identify how to go north, south, east and west. I had help from Nela and we all worked
well in a group. The thing i struggled on was doing the 3/4 turn in the class.
